Post-Revolution Iran in International Arena

Unfortunately, no serious work has been carried out in international arena neither about the revolution nor about the war. After the revolution, some countries have become sensitive toward Iran and were terrified of Iran. Due to anti-Iran propaganda, the facts and realities were turned upside down and no opportunity were given to Iran’s propaganda. Of course, since the new government had just been set up, our organizations were still unskilled. In foreign ministry, the revolutionary forces ...

Dr. Shariati Funeral in London

I was in Bochum (a city in the west of Germany) at that time. From Stuttgart, Mr. Nawab phoned and reported Dr. Shariatis death. Well, it was very shocking for us. Mr. Nawab suggested that we should go to London soon because there were whispers. Indeed, the SAVAK and the regimes propaganda organs had reported Dr. Shariatis death in the newspapers and implicitly said that the body was to come to Tehran and that a funeral would be held.

The Story of Taking the Photograph of Imam Khomeini in Najaf

In 1974- maybe 1975-, when I went to Iraq, one day I told Haj Mustafa to request Imam to permit me to take a lot of photos of him, but not a photo of a sheik who just sits with his cloak on his shoulders; but [it was better] he did his usual works and have nothing to do with me and I photograph. Haj Mostafa replied that he would get permission from the Imam to do it.

The condition of Tabriz Garrison in which it Fell

On the night of 11th of February, while I was in Tehran, I heard that the Tabriz Garrison had not yet been captured by the revolutionary forces and that the Maragheh armored force also wanted to attack Tabriz. I arrived in Tabriz at night. On the same day in Tehran, there was news that the Qazvin armored force wanted to attack Tehran; the people had dug the road and welded the iron ...

Young people fight against corruption centers in Shahroud

[Traveling to Aliabad and meeting with Ayatollah Madani] We along with the friends decided to step up our activities and make our protests more public about the citys corruption. During the operation, we were supposed to target several specific places, including two movie theaters in the city called Iran and Moulin Rouge, and at least break their windows, and if we could, set them on fire. This was the plan of religious guy but later,

How Ayatollah Qazi Was Martyred

Using a flashlight, we found two bullet shells of the four bullets. Then we got in the police car and went to Sina Hospital. A crowd had gathered in front of the hospital. No one from the people or the committee forces was allowed to go upstairs. I went upstairs and saw that Dr. Milani and Dr. Sarkhani were also there, and Mr. Yekta stood in the middle of the corridor. I saw Ayatollah Qazi in the operating room, ...

The Martyrdom of Nawab Safavi Narrated by His wife

We lived in a rental house in Dolab at that time. One morning, the wife of Seyed Abdul Hussein Vahedi came to me and after a bit of lingering, said to me, “Nayerehsadat, unfortunately, Mr. Nawab Safavi was executed [on 18/01/1956], and now you are in the same condition as me.” At that moment, I had a very severe shock. Just like that, you were unknowingly thrown into a cold pool. I wanted to shout;

Blessings of praying in prison

The situation of my cell [1355 (1976) – Tabriz Prison] was calamitous. As you know, many of the inmates in those days were communists, and for this reason, the door, the wall, and the floor of the cell I was in were Najis (ritually unclean), and it was clear that they had urinated on the walls and floor of the cell and the only clean place for me to sit was a niche-like one in the corner of ...

Consequences of visiting Ayatollah Pasandideh in Daran

After the transferring of Mr. Pasandideh to the town of Daran, I came back to Qom {1970s/1350s}. some leaflets had been issued by the gentlemen, and I helped to distribute them. Some of these leaflets were under the mattress in our house. After a while, I along with Mr. Haj Sheikh Sadr al-Din Haeri Shirazi and a young man named Amin went to see Mr. Pasandideh. The people had also come to visit him. We stayed there for a few days.

Military Training for the Isfahan Youth

As soon as arriving in Isfahan (in winter 1978) and settled in a safe place, the militant and revolutionary youth of Isfahan were recruited, and I taught them what I had learned about explosions and destruction in Syria and Lebanon. The first one was the method of making a homemade bomb, for which I asked a friend to buy about 50 or 60 pressure cookers with a capacity of three and five people or more from the manufacturing factory in NajafabadThe pressure cookers

The Arab People Committee

Another event that happened in Khuzestan Province and I followed up was the Arab People Committee. One day, we were informed that the Arabs had set up a committee special for themselves. At that time, I had less information about the Arab People , but knew well that dividing the people into Arab and non-Arab was a harmful measure.

Is oral history the words of people who have not been seen?

Some are of the view that oral history is useful because it is the words of people who have not been seen. It is meant by people who have not been seen, those who have not had any title or position. If we look at oral history from this point of view, it will be objected why the oral memories of famous people such as revolutionary leaders or war commanders are compiled.
