The 13th Iranian Oral History Conference will be held in Mazandaran Arts Center

The 13th Oral History Conference of Iran will be held in Sari city with the participation of the Oral History Association of Iran, the Arts Center of the Islamic Revolution in Mazandaran, the General Directorate for the Preservation of Works and Publication of Sacred Defense Values and the Karbala Corps of Mazandaran and with the presence of local professors, experts, writers, researchers, artists and other interested in the field of oral history.

Passing the River

The length of the pillar that had flowed down from the pass in the darkness approximated one kilometer. Heavy gun and the individual equipment had tired everyone. From time to time, the warriors raised their heads in the darkness and stared at the high summit of Gamo, which was standing in front of them. It was in the situation where the Iraqis were monitoring the entire region from the top of this high peak.

Rules of an interview

The oral history website is going to provide the educational materials of some oral history workshops to the audience in written form. The present series has been prepared using the materials of one of these workshops. As you will see, many of the provided contents are not original or less said contents, but we have tried to provide categorized contents so that they can be used more.

Transfer to the Ward-6

After two weeks [being in prison in 1979], I was transferred from the cell to Ward-6. The ward-6 of the Committee had three rooms, each having the area of approximately 12 square meters. There were four or five people in each room. In this section, coming and going from cell to the ward was permitted, although the door of the ward was closed, but we were allowed to walk in the wards ground.

The men continued burying the dead. As there were no female corpses, I went to fetch the wheelbarrow beside the building. I managed to put several gravestones in it and wheel them away.
