The 13th Iranian Oral History Conference

Note: According to the Iranian Oral History website, the Iranian Oral History Association with the participation of the Islamic Revolutionary Art Department of Mazandaran, the General Directorate of Conservation of Works and Publication of Holy Defense Values, and the Karbala Corps of Mazandaran; the 13th Conference on Oral History is held with the tendency of "Mazandaran's local oral history".

      The goals of the conference are scientific knowledge and enhancement of educational skills, enhancement of mass memory, recovery of oral history priorities in the field of local history, explaining and recognizing the role and ratio of oral history in registering and promoting people's culture and local history, the pathology of oral history in the field of historiography local.

       The subjects of the conference are as follows:

 Note: Subjects outside the above axes are acceptable, provided they have basic narratives based on active interview mechanisms (oral history).

     Those interested can send their articles to the electronic secretariat of the Iranian Oral History Association Iranian.oha@gmail.com.

     The deadline for receiving the abstract of the article (150 to 200 words and with 3 to 5 keywords): is 5 October 2022, and the deadline for receiving the original article (in Word file format and a maximum of 25 pages or 7000 words): is 5 November 2022.

     The news of this conference can be followed by the mass media and the official page of Mazandaran Islamic Art District.

     A summary of reports from eight specialized meetings and conferences on the oral history of Iran and the information available on the website of oral history of Iran shows that:

     The first, second, and third oral history conferences of Iran were held at Isfahan University on 14 and 15 May 2004, 2 December 2004, and 13 June 2007, respectively. The common theme of these conferences was the theoretical topics of oral history.

      The fourth conference on March 6th and 7th, 2008 with the theme "Interview in Oral History" was held at the Center for Studies and Research of Sustainable Culture and Literature, in Tehran.

     The fifth conference on March 5, 2008, with the theme "Methodology and topic identification of urban studies in oral history" was held in Mashhad and the Organization of Libraries, Museums, and Astan Quds Razavi Document Center.

      The sixth conference on "Education" was held on November 9, 2009, at Isfahan University.

      The 7th and 8th conferences with the common theme of "Compilation in Oral History" were held on 2 February 2010 and 24 September 2013, respectively, in the Museum and Documents Center of the Islamic Council in Tehran and the University of Isfahan.

      The 9th conference on March 7, 2012, with the theme "Oral History of Sacrifice and Martyrdom" was held in one of the cultural collections of the Martyrs and Martyrs Foundation in Tehran.

      The 10th conference was held on the January 27th of 2015 with the theme "Oral History of the Islamic Revolution 1978-1963" by the invitation of the Institute of Contemporary History Studies of Iran in one of the halls of the artistic field in Tehran.

The 11th conference on February 29, 2016, with the theme of "Compilation in Oral History" was held at the Document Research Institute of the Document Organization and the   National Library of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tehran.

      The 12th oral history conference of Iran with the theme "Oral history of the industry, engineering, and support of holy defense" was held on November 18, 2018, at Isfahan University.

Operation Beit al-Moqaddas and Liberation of Khorramshahr

After Operation Fat’h al-Mobin, we traveled to Kermanshah and visited Sar-e-Pol-e-Zahab before heading to Ilam.
