◄ On Sunday, Tir 8th, the Deputy Governor for Political and Social Affairs of East Azerbaijan Province announced, during the first session of the province's Oral History Task Force, that the aim of launching an oral history project is to document pivotal events with vivid emotion and a living spirit for future generations. The Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of East Azerbaijan also underscored the importance of compiling the region’s oral history, describing it as a project that transcends a mere academic or cultural activity.
◄ The Director for the Publication of Women’s Participation in the Sacred Defense in Amol reported the launch of an oral history initiative focusing on the wives of the county’s martyrs.
◄ In alignment with national policies aimed at standardizing the preservation process of documents and sources related to the oral history of the Iran–Iraq War, a consultative meeting was convened on Monday, Tir 9th between officials from the National Library and Archives of Yazd Province and the provincial office of the Foundation for the Preservation and Publication of Sacred Defense Values.
◄ The first training workshop on oral history principles and methodology was held on Tir 12th in Hamedan Province with the purpose of documenting and preserving the humanitarian services and memories of the Iranian Red Crescent Society personnel.
◄ The unveiling ceremony of the oral history documentary “Narrative of a Belief”, which chronicles and records the historical roots of religious mourning groups in Shiraz, took place on Sunday, Tir 15th, in the presence of cultural officials, artists, scholars, and enthusiasts of the Ahl al-Bayt tradition.
◄ The Director General of the Foundation for the Preservation and Publication of Sacred Defense and Resistance Values in Mazandaran Province stated that the compilation of a Provincial Encyclopedia of the Sacred Defense constitutes a major scholarly and research endeavor of provincial significance.
◄ The Director of the Women’s Participation in Sacred Defense Office in West Azerbaijan Province announced that the oral history of the wife of martyr Bakri is among the planned projects for the current year and is currently underway.
◄ An unpublished oral history interview with the late Major General Gholam-Ali Rashid, titled “The Rashid Commander of Iran,” has been released for the first time in the third issue of Govah magazine, published by the Islamic Revolution Document Center.
◄ The head of oral history at the Center for Documentation, Research, and Dissemination of Sacred Defense and IRGC Values stated that the oral history book of General Gholam-Ali Rashid, covering events up to the liberation of Khorramshahr, will be published soon.
◄ In a session of the Deputy Council of the Martyrs and Veterans Affairs Foundation of Isfahan Province, the acting head of the Foundation urged the immediate initiation of the oral history project concerning recently martyred individuals, emphasizing that these narratives are not merely memories, but life-shaping lessons for the youth that must be recorded with greatest care and quality, and made accessible to cultural and academic institutions nationwide.
◄ The manager of District 4 of Isfahan Municipality announced the preparation and compilation of the oral history book of the Shahzeyd neighborhood, part of a comprehensive 16-volume series documenting the oral histories of the district’s various neighborhoods.
◄ During a visit to the Eastern Iran Archives and National Library Center, the Deputy Governor for Urban Development of Khorasan Razavi Province called for the design of a scientific framework for the collection of historical memories and the strengthening of archival infrastructure.
◄ The Secretary of the Congress of 8,000 Martyrs of Hamedan Province stressed the central role of the media in commemorating martyrs and revealed a series of initiatives, including the publication of a commemorative special issue, the production of digital content, and the implementation of oral history projects.
