Ramadan is the month of the revelation of the Quran; the month of light, mercy, and blessing; the month of the connection of the earth and the sky, and what a spring this year is.

Grace has come upon the grace of God

Gratitude has come upon gratitude, countless!

If you have been waiting for spring every year,

This year spring has come in spring!

The fragrance of Ramadan wrapped in Nowruz, the confluence of the spring of nature and the spring of the Quran, is a reminder that in the beginning of this transformation and rebirth and getting new that the parts of the world have come out in the challenge and striving to grow and flourish and become fresh, if I do not strive to transform and revive my body and soul, I will be left behind in this half-world.

Spring has come and I must become fresh: "Oh, if I were less than a piece of wood."

Spring in the Qur'an is a good news of life after death

“So observe the effects of Allah’s mercy: how He revives the earth after its death! Indeed He is the reviver of the dead, and He has power over all things.”  (Surah Ar-Rum, verse 50)

With the help of this heavenly look, I offer you, the esteemed reader of this online page: May the rebirth of the dead world be auspicious and blessed for you and your esteemed family.

I hope that in the year 1404, new doors of knowledge about the past will be opened for all of us (to spend today well and make tomorrow better). Of course, I hope that in this way, oral history will also be used in the best possible way. Although oral history is on the verge of its fifth decade of existence in Iran, it still smells of freshness and newness, and its newness is evident from the works published under this title.

Freshness and newness by themselves are neither unpleasant nor praiseworthy, but it seems that when the name of science comes, freshness should be synonymous with new thoughts and transforming past achievements in favor of stepping on the path to a better and nobler future. It should be applied Previous experience and knowledge should be in line with taking steps forward. It seems that the result of writing should be discovering new horizons of knowledge, and the answers to the previous ambiguities and difficulties should be given, otherwise the repetition of the same things will lead to staying and being stuck.

Therefore, I hope that the experience of four decades of oral history efforts in Iran will serve as a key to opening new doors to move towards the future with more accurate knowledge than the past; and that the recent past, which is not without its own difficulties. I hope that this spring the seeds of knowledge on the path of oral history will germinate, bloom, and bear fruit, and that oral historians, especially those who strive for more knowledge in theoretical discussions, will make more efforts to mature this still nascent knowledge, and that God will add His blessings to their efforts and bring them to a good end.

From our garden, O gardener, may the scent of spring always come,

Give us the key to our garden so that it may be useful tomorrow!

An Excerpt from the Memoirs of General Mohammad Jafar Asadi

As Operation Fath-ol-Mobin came to an end, the commanders gathered at the “Montazeran-e Shahadat” Base, thrilled by a huge and, to some extent, astonishing victory achieved in such a short time. They were already bracing themselves for the next battle. It is no exaggeration to say that this operation solidified an unprecedented friendship between the Army and IRGC commanders.

A Selection from the Memoirs of Haj Hossein Yekta

The scorching cold breeze of the midnight made its way under my wet clothes and I shivered. The artillery fire did not stop. Ali Donyadideh and Hassan Moghimi were in front. The rest were behind us. So ruthlessly that it was as if we were on our own soil. Before we had even settled in at the three-way intersection of the Faw-Basra-Umm al-Qasr road, an Iraqi jeep appeared in front of us.

Boycotting within prison

Here I remember something that breaks the continuity, and I have to say it because I may forget it later. In Evin Prison, due to the special position that we and our brothers held and our belief in following the line of Marja’eiyat [sources of emulation] and the Imam, we had many differences with the Mujahedin.
