Translation of resistance literature; best way to promote Basiji thoughts
A seminar was held Monday morning, Nov. 28, as "Movement of translation, Basij global thoughts and Islamic Awakening in the contemporary world" in which a university professor said:" Translation of resistance literature is the best way to promote the Basij thoughts throughout the world."
IBNA: The session was held this morning in the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO).
During the session ICRO's advisor to the research deputy Hojatoleslam Bahman Akbari said:" The Islamic Revolution was born by Ashura thoughts. Basij was created by the Ashura uprising and the Islamic Awakening in the world roots in the blood of Iran's Revolution's martyrs."
Commander of ICRO's Basij center, Colonel Abbaszadeh said:" Iran's communication with the world is everlasting which is indeed significant."
Talking about other countries' eagerness to know about Iran and the Islamic Revolution he added:" Accordingly figures who enjoy Basiji culture and taste should write these kind of books and distribute them in different countries."
Moreover he said that most of the movements throughout the world is influenced by Iran's revolution.
In other news, Colonel Hassan Rasouli, literature and publication deputy of the Foundation of Preserving and Publishing Sacred Defense Relics said: "Although some cultural and artistic activities were accomplished during the war but unfortunately the process declined after the war and nowadays only few books are written in the field of Basij and Islamic Revolution."
Moreover he said that nowadays the west and European countries are releasing more research books than Iran about our revolution and Sacred Defense.
Word to word translation, concentrating on the memoir section, weakness in choosing the subjects are some of the problems of translating the literature of Sacred Defense he said and added:" The weakness of our cultural attaches in attracting the attention of foreign publishers for releasing the books, the weak book designs and the lack of group work are among the other problems.
Furthermore the advisor to ICRO's manger Mansour Etesami said:" The explosion of population, data and expectations were the events which occurred since 1989. They could indeed be opportunities for conveying the revolutionary messages to the young generation which we failed to use.
Before translating the precious works into other languages, we should consider our nation's attendance; for instance how mush does the young generation imagine such an ambience. The thoughts of Basij should be observed in our nation and minds and then we can talk about its conveyance.
Through the field of translation, we can create samples via coherent and strategic thoughts; since the world needs our patterns and movements including Wall Street indicate that people around the world are seeking alternatives. We can present these samples to the world via translating Sacred Defense and Basij's works and converting the resistance literature is the best way to promote the Basiji thought in the world.

The Beating Pulse of a Nation at the Moment of Nowruz
Every year, in the days and nights leading up to Nowruz, Shohada Square had a special charm. A few days before the New Year, the shops would fill with customers, and street vendors would take over the sidewalks. You could find everything in their stalls (from items for the Haft Sin table, candles, goldfish, and spring flowers to clothes, bags, and shoes). The Editor's Missing Place on the “Deck”
The book From Deck to Heaven offers a relatively fresh approach to examining the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army Navy (AJA) during the eight years of the Sacred Defense, published under the “Oral History of the Islamic Revolution” series. To compile this book, the esteemed author has utilized documentary research (referring to relevant archival centers and selecting documents) and field research ...An Exceptional Haft‑Seen Table
I wanted to celebrate the new year with my family. Together with two relief workers I boarded buses designated for transporting the wounded to Choubideh and received our mission orders. We waited for a helicopter to take us to Bandar Imam Khomeini. I was stationed near the helicopter’s touchdown zone and was slight in build. As the helicopter was about to land, I could not steady myself; the breeze generated by the rotor blades lifted me off the ground.Spring under the shadow of war
Composing the Spring special for the new year in the past years was mostly along with hope, nature’s rebirth and the promise of renewal of life. Spring has always been a reminder for returning of life and peace after the Winters’ cold. This year though, another atmosphere has settled over our land in the last days of Esfand (March).
