The movement of the cultural front of Islamic revolution includes theater and chanson groups in mosques, schools and other bases, libraries, painting and graphic groups, story and poem literary circles, wall-newspapers and even periodicals and booklets, local radios and documentary films making, the educative activities of pedagogy teachers, teachers of literacy movement, NGOs, Islamic societies, members of Jihad Sazandegi [construction movement] and all those who have born the burden of revolution in extensive cultural and artistic activities. But high schools active in the first decades of the revolution are one of the most comprehensive cultural and artistic circles which almost encompass all above activities.

In Memory of Revolutionary Upsurge of Women in Mashhad in January 7, 1978 against the Pahlavi Regime

January 7, 1978 is a new chapter in the history of the Islamic Revolution in Mashhad city; since it was the day that a group of women orchestrated a demonstration against Pahlavi regime in Mashhad. Women’s participation in political society was an objection to Pahlavi regime and demanding freedom of women in prison. However, due to security issues and strong control on media it wasn’t well reflected in the media but presence of women in this demonstration was a turning point for the fight of people in Mashhad.

Spartan tradition, even in so far as it relates to the kings, seems to be unconnected with families, but rather to give an official polis view of the past which it would be easier to attribute to a group aware of the need for social cohesion.

The Year Last Wednesday

The last Wednesday of the year is reminder of a sense of nostalgia which a great part of it is related to an ancient heritage, preserved by our ancestors and great men through oral narrations. This heritage now comprises a part of cultural believes of ethnic groups. Reviewing the past memories, the last Wednesday of the year has always been considered as a pure and sacred day in my mind.

Loss of Memory in Pahlavi Prisons

In total, [I was in prison] about 6 years in two arrests. For the first time after several years, a soldier arranged my escape. I do not know why! Maybe he was one of the influential elements of Islamic groups. They took me to the hospital for the treatment of my hand, which was broken due to the callousness of an officer.

Hajj Pilgrimage

I went on a Hajj pilgrimage in the early 1340s (1960s). At that time, few people from the army, gendarmerie and police went on a pilgrimage to the holy Mashhad and holy shrines in Iraq. It happened very rarely. After all, there were faithful people in the Iranian army who were committed to obeying the Islamic halal and haram rules in any situation, and they used to pray.
