Hassan Bagheri: Had he just been alive!

On the sidelines of the 29th anniversary of Major General Gholamhussein Afshordi (Hassan Bagheri), a high-ranking Sacred Defense commander said if Bagheri were still alive, "he could have provided us invaluable resources and documents about the war."
IBNA: "Regarding my post in the propagation headquarters of the war, I had a close contact with martyr Hassan Bagheri and I think these books can document his thought train," said Mohammad Bagher Nikkhah Bahrami in an interview with IBNA on the sidelines of a ceremony to unveil his 5-volume War Daily Review collection.
He marked the collection as a Sacred Defense history reservoir, which contains intact realities and facts about the war. "It depicts the history of the war during the 28 months of its happening and Iran's strategy," he stated.
"Had martyr Hassan Bagheri still been alive, his war reports and documents would be regarded as a respectable war database eradicating many of the present ambiguities for us," he added.
He went on to explain the theme of the collection and its arrangement saying that it encompasses details and events about the Sacred Defense on a daily basis, which would be interesting for war researchers.
He further stated that journalists, writers, military schools and managers should consider Hassan Bagheri's war reports as professional resources in their work. "The collection is worth being taught in military and management schools as they accustom readers with the depth of martyr Bagheri's managerial thought," he added.
The War Daily Review has been published by the Institute of Martyr Hassan Bagheri in five volumes. The collection covers war events from Tuesday, September 23, 1980 to Saturday, January 29, 1983.
Born on Sunday, March 10, 1956, Gholamhussein Afshordi (Hassan Bagheri) entered the agriculture faculty in Urmia University in 1975 where his political and religious interests began to take off. In 1980, he returned to university and graduated from Tehran University law school.
At the break of the Iraq-imposed war on Iran, he joined the armed forces in southern part of the country where he established and operated intelligence units, combat divisions, data profiling and documents translation operations.
During his years in the war he held various critical posts including leadership of south and Darkhoein axes under Samenol-A'emmeh operation, deputy commander of Tarighal Quds operation, leading Nasr Headquarters during Fatholmobin, Beitolmoghadas and Ramezan operations, commander of Karbal Headquarters and deputy commander of South general headquarters and Sepah ground forces.
Major General Gholamhussein Afshordi (Hassan Bagheri) was martyred during a reconnaissance mission on Saturday, January 29, 1983 in Fakeh-Chazabeh.
