Parts of Taqi Makinezhad's life under the scrutiny
Looking at two new books on the field of history
Memoirs of Rebellion Times (parts of Taqi Makinezhad’s life, member of Fifty-three group and Tudeh Party of Iran activists) written by yoosef Nikfam, and Social Thought of Muslim Thinkers (from Farabi to Ibn-Khaldun) written by Taqi Maki Armaki are published.
According to Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), “looking to Taqi Makinezhad’s lifeâ€, “Taqi Maknezhad memories and notesâ€, “Interviews with Taqi Makinezhadâ€, “continuous (sample of ideas and works)â€, and “documents and pictures†are some chapters of this 212 pages book. we could read in a chapter of book that “the story of Fifty-three group and the role of some member of it in foundation of Tudeh Party of Iran in the years after Shahrivar 1320 (August – September, 1941) are the relatively wrought-known corners of Iran recent history; both the collection of documents on the subject and memories of some of its members have been published.â€
“Addition to the story of Makinezhad and his family background in Arak, which are valuable in its place, one of the main features of this writing is the narrative of memories owner about how students in the Faculty of Engineering organized a strike in 1314 (1935). The strike was the most important efforts which were based on the ideas and influence of Dr. Arani. Makinezhad was the main organizer of it. Another important part of this diaries and notes is materials relating to the development of prison and the history of prisoners on that period. Also, we can mention to the dispersed memories of his days in prison and the other prisoners on that time.â€
“Mr. Taqi Makinezhad was familiarized with ‘Donya’ magazine and met Dr. Taqi Arani in 1312 (1933) and made a way to his weekly meetings. Familiarity with Arani mentally affected his life. He visited Anwar Khamee, Iraj Eskandari and Shahidzadeh in the meetings. Accompanied with Anwar Khamee, he was accepted in the first term of Faculty of Engineering, after government decided to establish it in 1313(1934). Previously, one hundred ones of the best students were selected by government each year and were sent to Europe to continue their education. His main party activities happened on the strike of Faculty of Engineering in the academic year 1314-1315(1935). Taqi Makinezhad writes about the strike at the Faculty of Engineering in his notes: “... In 1314 (1935), by guidance of Kambakhsh and Dr. Arani, I organized the strike in Faculty of Engineering which was ended a week after; and Culture Minister, Dr. Ali Asghar Hekmat accepted all of our demands and implemented them.â€
Taqi Makinezhad was of thinkers’ generation who joined to the 53-group across the political and social struggles in the Reza Khan times with religious background; and like most members of the group, meeting Dr. Taqi Arani made severe changes in his mental and personality. The main cause of these changes was Arani’s ‘Donya’ magazine. Maki participated in meetings which were at the home of Dr. Arani Monday nights. In these meetings Arani interpreted materials, which were published in the ‘Donya’ magazine, for audiences.
He, along with other members of 53-group, was taken into custody and sentenced to five years in prison. After his release from prison, he participated in the session of Tudeh Party of Iran formation which was held in the house of Suleiman Mirza Eskandari, and became the member of selection organizations commission. Revisiting the Faculty of Engineering, he received Mining Engineering degree, and after employing in Railway Bureau, he was sent to France for researching about railway. After returning from France and with awareness about members of the splinter group of Tudeh Party, he resigned from membership in the party. Despite pressure from party, he never again showed any inclination to carry out the activities of the party.
The first edition of the book Memoirs of Rebellion Times (parts of Taqi Mskinezhad’s life, one of the members of fifty-three group and Tudeh Party activities) written by yoosef Nikfam, in the 212 pages, has been published by Pardis Danesh Press.
Social thought of Muslim thinkers (from Farabi to Ibn-Khaldun)
Social Thought of Muslim Thinkers (from Farabi to Ibn-Khaldun), written by Taqi Azad Armaki is published and released by Soroush Press.
History of social thought in Islam and social thought of Muslim thinkers are two categories, researching them we can picture the thought system of Islamic Ummah in two levels of “community†and “elitesâ€. Although the field of sociological thought creation in Islamic lands had been provided before the West, but social thought in Islam has been less systematically raised.
Social Thought of Muslim Thinkers (from Farabi to Ibn-Khaldun) was written with the goal of eliminating this deficit and the author has tried to systematized the basics and principles of Islamic thinkers’ thought by several ways and from their remaining works.
Historiography with Muslim, research methods of Muslim thinkers and cultural reviewing of them (travelogues and cultural studies) are such methods. Social thought of Abu Nasr Farabi, Abu Rayhan Biruni, Imam Muhammad Ghazali and Ibn-Khaldun, who are the representatives of the Muslim thinkers in the field of social thought, was interpreted and criticized in this book.
In the years following the Islamic Revolution, ‘History of Social Thought in Islam’ and ‘social thought of Muslim thinkers’ have been included to the courses of BA and MA in the social sciences field. In the first step, this question is raised that whether these courses have a topicality in particular social credit and finding the most suitable solutions for social issues in our country? And that whether there is place for these discussions in terms of theoretical and scientific, regardless the specific circumstances after the Islamic Revolution in Iran?
The book has been adjusted to meet the above two questions. First, it is tried to address the needs of dealing with this issue and important theories in this field, and then weaknesses and strengths and limitations of the idea of Muslim scholars reviewed. Also, principles, characteristics, and traits of Muslim’s social thought were presented. At the end, views of some Muslim scholars in the past period, such as Farabi, Biruni, Masudi, Ibn Battuta, Ghazali Tusi and Ibn-Khaldun were stated.
Social Thought of Muslim Thinkers have been developed in 10 chapters, including the necessity of raising the Muslim social thought, formation fields of social thought in Islamic civilization, basics and principles of Muslim thinkers’ thought, historiography with Muslim, research methods of Muslim thinkers, cultural reviews of Muslim thinkers, Abu Nasr Farabi’s social thought, Abu Rayhan Biruni’s social thought, Imam Mohammad Ghazali’s social thought, Ibn-Khaldun's social thought.
The fifth edition of Social Thought of Muslim Thinkers (from Farabi to Ibn-Khaldun), in 328 pages, with one thousand copies, and the price of 155,000 Rial, has been published and released by Soroush Press.

Operation Beit al-Moqaddas and Liberation of Khorramshahr
After Operation Fat’h al-Mobin, we traveled to Kermanshah and visited Sar-e-Pol-e-Zahab before heading to Ilam. During Operation Beit al-Moqaddas, the 27th Brigade was still receiving support from the West. We maintained contact with individuals who had previously worked in Area 7 and were now leading the brigade. It was through these connections that I learned about Operation Beit al-Moqaddas.Memoirs of Hujjat al-Islam Reza Motalebi
Hujjat al-Islam Reza Motalebi is a cleric from Isfahan. Before the revolution, he was the imam of the Fallah Mosque – which was later renamed Abuzar Mosque. By his presence and efforts, Abuzar Mosque soon became a base for supporters of the Imam and the revolution. After the victory of the revolution, he played a role in uniting forces and maintaining political vitality in southwest Tehran. The Necessity of Receiving Feedback in Oral History
Whenever we engage in a task, we naturally seek ways to evaluate our performance — to correct shortcomings and enhance strengths. Such refinement is only possible through the feedback we receive from others. Consider, for instance, a basketball player whose shots are consistently accurate; should he begin shooting blindfolded, his success rate would rapidly decline, as he would be deprived of essential feedback from each attempt.Sir Saeed
