League of Professional Theatre Women Will Offer Oral History Exhibit at New York Public Library

The League of Professional Theatre Women, in association with The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, will offer "Celebrating Our Legacy: Oral History Photographic Exhibit of the League of Professional Theatre Women," which will open March 8.The free exhibit will be open through April 28 in the Library's Plaza Corridor Gallery, The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center. "Celebrating Our Legacy" commemorates the women who have been recorded as part of the "Theatre on Film & Tape" collection at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.
Through the exhibit, the League of Professional Theatre Women—which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2012—will "honor the oral history legacy, which, since 1992, has documented an outstanding array of women, all of whom have contributed to contemporary American theatre," according to press notes.
Additionally, the LPTW website will stream interviews from the "Women in Theatre: Interviews with Notable Women in American Theatre" TV series. "Women in Theatre" includes 65 interviews that were taped over five years and broadcast on City University of New York Television. Copies are also available to students, theatre professionals, researchers and interested members of the public through the "Theatre on Film & Tape" archive.
The League of Professional Theatre Women is a non-profit organization, which strives to deliver its mission of "promoting visibility and increasing opportunities for women in the field."
The exhibit will be open Monday and Thursday from noon-8 PM; and Tuesday-Wednesday and Friday-Saturday from noon-6 PM.

Operation Beit al-Moqaddas and Liberation of Khorramshahr
After Operation Fat’h al-Mobin, we traveled to Kermanshah and visited Sar-e-Pol-e-Zahab before heading to Ilam. During Operation Beit al-Moqaddas, the 27th Brigade was still receiving support from the West. We maintained contact with individuals who had previously worked in Area 7 and were now leading the brigade. The book “Sir Saeed” is a documentary [narrative] of the life of martyr Seyyed Mohammad Saeed Jafari, written by Mohammad Mehdi Hemmati and published by Rahiyar Publications. In March 2024, this book was recognized as one of the selected documentary biographies in the 21st edition of the Sacred Defense Book of the Year Award.
