Part of Oral History of Esfandiar Qarehbaqi
I was threatened publicly due to the publication of a revolutionary song about Imam Khomeini (God’s mercy upon his soul). Imagine that thousands of people were singing together the epical song “Oh, Iran†on the day the enemy had attacked the soil of the country. It was really energetic and exciting. The situation strengthened the motivation of many people in defending the country.Memoirs of Issa Daraee from combatants of Malek Ashtar Battalion
The following memoirs are released for the first time…since they have been recorded in 1980s the fate of the narrator is not known… “…The brigade was supposed to leave the city of Khorramabad for a new area. We went to Shafi Khani area. Since a mission had been announced to the brigade, the battalions started war games. It was at that time when a large of number teachers in the form of Basiji (mobilized volunteers) forces had been sent to war fronts from different schools. Thus, the brigade had many qualified forces. After a while, the brigade was ordered to move toward the northwest of the country. After two or three days, we reached to the town of Naqadeh. It was said there, that Iraq had counterattacked and was going to seize the city of Piranshahr with several brigades and divisions and the Islamic Republic was planning to stop them. One of the brigades which had the mission to do this was Brigade 57. We were in Naqadeh for one night. The next day we left for the suburbs of Piranshahr and it was announced there that we must go forward at the same night and stop the enemy.Revolution Supreme Leader’s memory of first visit with Imam after fifteen years

Mashhad- the challenge to reach the victory of Islamic Revolution in Iran is more expansive and valued because of the blood of compatriots. This is the story of Mohammad J. one of my best friends who was killed in Iran-Iraq war. Beside that thin man (me) in the photo, Mohammad is seen. In Iran, last week was the anniversary of the beginning of war between Iran and Iraq (1980-1988). State media call it “Holy Defense†and cover the event. In Iran, state narrations about the war are filled with myth-making about what happened those years. These narrations overseas are filled with geopolitics, military and academic discussions. Both do not reveal the realities of the war according to what happened to the soldiers and their families. Although we believe that a hero can be holy, myth-making distances us from real stories regarding epic and self-sacrifice.Supreme Leader's Sacred Defense Memories

She said she had already sent he husband and sons to the war front and felt embarrassed not to be able to go over to the battle herself. She also said she had two rings and a little sum of money which were here savings for several months and that she would readily offer them to the fighting forces instead of buying her children warm clothes for the winter.TEN YEARS IN IRAN – SOME HIGH LIGHTS

Operation Beit al-Moqaddas and Liberation of Khorramshahr
After Operation Fat’h al-Mobin, we traveled to Kermanshah and visited Sar-e-Pol-e-Zahab before heading to Ilam. During Operation Beit al-Moqaddas, the 27th Brigade was still receiving support from the West. We maintained contact with individuals who had previously worked in Area 7 and were now leading the brigade. It was through these connections that I learned about Operation Beit al-Moqaddas.Memoirs of Hujjat al-Islam Reza Motalebi
Hujjat al-Islam Reza Motalebi is a cleric from Isfahan. Before the revolution, he was the imam of the Fallah Mosque – which was later renamed Abuzar Mosque. By his presence and efforts, Abuzar Mosque soon became a base for supporters of the Imam and the revolution. After the victory of the revolution, he played a role in uniting forces and maintaining political vitality in southwest Tehran. The Necessity of Receiving Feedback in Oral History
Whenever we engage in a task, we naturally seek ways to evaluate our performance — to correct shortcomings and enhance strengths. Such refinement is only possible through the feedback we receive from others. Consider, for instance, a basketball player whose shots are consistently accurate; should he begin shooting blindfolded, his success rate would rapidly decline, as he would be deprived of essential feedback from each attempt.Sir Saeed
